What We Hear….
In my mid 30’s, I think dating is more difficult. I wish there was a way to meet more business professionals, but I don’t know a way other than bars.
I moved here from Atlanta to realize Austin doesn’t really have a ‘gayborhood’ which makes it even harder to make new gay friends.
I’m looking for someone in my general age group, polished, professional, and a great conversationalist.
I’ve wondered if maybe my age has limited me, as I don’t find too many in my age group.
Even my friends agree it’s tough to date because Austin skews young, 18-25, because of the university. That middle age window is tough because you don’t know how or where to meet each other.
I wish dating in Austin were easier. I wish we could say to newcomers, ‘Here is where you go; this is how to date in Austin.’
It’s hard to meet quality people in a typical gay setting. It feels like all of the good ones are taken.
Since moving to Austin from Florida 7 years ago, I think it’s difficult finding a good man not already coupled, that’s in my age group, with the qualities I’m looking for.
